Ben here started life as Slugger one of our new additions. We almost literally HAD to buy him. He grabbed a hold of my wife's fingernail and would NOT let go.
His picture is the one that greets you on the main page. He arrived to us in a "baseball" shell, hence the name Slugger. Within a 1/2 hour of getting him home, he started shell swapping. When he came out of his shell he was HUGE! We had no idea that he was that big...so we put some of our old bigger shells in. He literally dove into the Superman shell, then started attacking Sam! We broke that up pretty quickly and tossed in another couple of shells. He finally settled on the Spidey shell, which made my son very happy. He's convinced that Spidey never left us. :)
...umm...nevermind. He switched shells again...so he is now Ben, after Ben 10. Plus it's a name that can travel no matter what shell he's in.
Ben passed, from unknown causes in June 2006. R.I.P.
